FC «Copenhagen» signed ex-Team Dignitas

Ex-Team Dignitas roster is moving.

Team Dignitas CS:GO ex-roster was signed by Copenhagen football club. According to the terms of the contract, the players will cooperate with the team during 3-5 years, and this is a longer period than in any other esports contract. In the upcoming competitions, the team will be called The North.

The representatives of the Danish club want to host esports competitions on their stadium. They also told that they would like to host one of the biggest esports events with 40-50 thousands of visitors.

Recently, Team Dignitas participated in EPICENTER: Moscow, DreamHack Tours 2016 and European LAN-final WESG 2016, where the team became a winner. Also, the team managed to take the second place on Global eSports Cup — Season 1 and 3-4 place on DreamHack Bucharest 2016.

Currently, The North is planning to participate in The ELEAGUE Major 2017, scheduled on January 15-18, 2017. The prize pool for the tournament is $1,000,000.
