Virtus.Pro to join IEM Oakland

Virtus.Pro received an invitation for the Intel Extreme Masters tours, which is going to take place in Oakland, California. Famous Oracle Arena will host the event.

Polish team is the third one to be invited to the upcoming event. SK Gaming and Team Liquid received invitations previously.

12 teams will participate in the Intel Extreme Masters event. There are 9 more free slots, but ESL does not announce how these slots are distributed.

Like in IEM Katowice 2016, all teams will be divided into two groups with 6 teams in each. 6 best teams in the group stage will join play-off series. Prize pool is still kept in a secret, but we expect to know it soon.

Virtus.Pro are in a good form now. Everyone who saw their performance ELEAGUE and ESL One Cologne 2016 was impressed by the work they’ve done to reach such results. In the last Major-event, they joined top-4 teams. In semifinal match, they lost against SK Gaming, winner of the event.

So today we know  only 3 teams to participate in IEM Oakland 2016:
